You may still feel fairly productive in the morning, but after lunch it starts – or rather, ends. You feel like a body without a soul, your work performance drops sharply, and at the thought of still having to go exercise, you silently curse your more energetic morning self who signed you up for today’s group class. Coffee may patch it up for a while, but in the long run it solves nothing. That’s why MitoGenix focuses not on short-term stimulation, but directly on the inner workings of the cells where energy is produced. What does it contain, and what can you expect from it?

MitoGenix at a glance

Who it’s for: Active people over thirty with long workdays, high physical or mental demands, who do not want to rely only on caffeine to deal with energy dips.

What it supports: Support for normal energy-yielding metabolism, nutrient utilization, and everyday vitality.

When to take it: 2 capsules daily in the morning, or 1 in the morning and 1 later in the morning, no later than noon. Ideally with a meal containing a little fat.

What it contains: In the recommended daily dose of 2 capsules: 200 mg coenzyme Q10, 20 mg PQQ, 200 mg dihydroberberine, 1,190 mg glycine, 50 mg vitamin B3, 4 mg vitamin B1, and 4 mg BioPerine® piperine.

What not to expect: An instant “boost” like coffee or an energy drink. MitoGenix contains no caffeine or other common stimulants.

When your energy only lasts until lunch

You may know the feeling: you function well in the morning, but by the afternoon your performance starts to noticeably decline. Sure, coffee wakes you up. But alertness is not the same as energy.

Caffeine really can temporarily reduce the feeling of fatigue. But it does not affect the actual cellular processes through which the body obtains energy from nutrients. And that is exactly where the greatest potential lies.

So is there something better you can do than switch from a regular espresso to a double? Absolutely. The main stage of energy metabolism is the mitochondria – the small “power plants” inside our cells. To function properly, they need care – for example with the help of comprehensive supplements such as MitoGenix.

What is MitoGenix?

MitoGenix is a comprehensive formula focused on cellular energy, metabolism, and everyday vitality. It combines ingredients with different functions:

Ingredient

Amount in 2 capsules

What we know about it

Coenzyme Q10

200 mg

A natural part of mitochondrial energy metabolism; studied, among other things, in connection with fatigue.

PQQ

20 mg

An ingredient studied in the context of mitochondrial biogenesis and cellular energy.

Dihydroberberine

200 mg

A form of berberine with potentially higher bioavailability, studied in connection with glucose metabolism.

L-glycine

1,190 mg

A basic amino acid involved in protein formation and key metabolic pathways.

Vitamin B3 (niacin)

50 mg

Contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism and to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.

Vitamin B1 (thiamine)

4 mg

Contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism and normal functioning of the nervous system.

BioPerine®

4 mg

A standardized black pepper extract to support bioavailability and absorption of certain ingredients.

Coenzyme Q10: part of the cell’s power plant

Coenzyme Q10 occurs naturally in our body and is part of the mitochondrial electron transport chain, that is, the process by which cells obtain energy. However, with age, its production may gradually decline. This is also why it often appears in products focused on vitality and healthy ageing.

In studies, supplementation with coenzyme Q10 has repeatedly shown a statistically significant reduction in fatigue scores compared with placebo.

PQQ: an interesting ingredient for mitochondria

Pyrroloquinoline quinone, abbreviated as PQQ, is among the lesser-known ingredients, but one with considerable potential in relation to cellular energy.

Research is looking, among other things, at its possible effect on mitochondrial biogenesis, meaning processes related to the formation and function of mitochondria, which are essential for energy production in cells.

Dihydroberberine: the metabolic foundation of the formula

Berberine is a natural alkaloid that has long been studied mainly in connection with glucose and lipid metabolism – in other words, how our body handles individual nutrients.

MitoGenix contains its more modern form – dihydroberberine (DHB), whose advantage lies in a different and potentially more favorable bioavailability.

Glycine: a subtle but important amino acid

Glycine is the simplest and smallest amino acid, yet it performs a number of functions in the body and is part of many metabolic pathways. Among other things, it is also the main component of collagen.

Research on glycine supplementation therefore covers a wide range of areas – from metabolism to sleep. In MitoGenix, it primarily plays the role of supporting the nervous system and recovery, both of which are essential for long-term vitality.

Vitamins B1 and B3: energy from nutrients

For B vitamins, their role in energy metabolism is well established and supported by approved European health claims.

Vitamin B1 (thiamine) and B3 (niacin) contribute to normal energy-yielding metabolism. Niacin also contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue, and both vitamins contribute to the normal functioning of the nervous system.

So how does MitoGenix work?

MitoGenix is not meant to work by giving you a quick (and short-lived) “boost.” Its concept is based on supporting processes related to the optimal use of energy in the body. Thanks to its thoughtful composition, it:

  • supports energy metabolism and the efficient use of nutrients,

  • supports the function and biogenesis of mitochondria – our “cellular power plants”,

  • helps protect cells from damage and loss of function,

  • supports the nervous system and mental balance.

As a result, it:

  • may lead to a more stable level of energy and overall vitality,

  • helps you get through demanding periods,

  • helps break the vicious cycle of “forced” coffee and energy drink consumption.

What MitoGenix is not

MitoGenix is not an energy drink in capsule form and is not intended to provide an immediate stimulating effect.

It does not replace sleep, sufficient energy from food, movement, or recovery. If you chronically get too little sleep, eat too little, or keep pushing beyond your limits over the long term, no food supplement will solve that problem.

Likewise, it is not a treatment for conditions that cause fatigue. If fatigue is long-lasting, severe, or appears without an obvious reason, the right approach is to look for the cause rather than simply covering it up with supplements or caffeine.

How to take MitoGenix ?

The recommended daily dose is 2 capsules. You can take both at once in the morning, or one in the morning and the second later in the morning. After noon, it is better not to. MitoGenix does not contain stimulants, but in sensitive individuals it may have a mildly invigorating effect, so it is not ideal to take it in the late afternoon or evening.

For optimal absorption of coenzyme Q10 and PQQ, take MitoGenix with a meal containing a small amount of fat – for example nuts, avocado, or a little olive oil.

And if you are also taking medication for diabetes, high blood pressure, or medications that affect blood clotting, it is best to MitoGenix consult a doctor about its suitability. Berberine and piperine may affect the absorption or effectiveness of some medications.

When can you expect the first changes?

Cellular nourishment requires patience. The changes do not come within an hour like after an espresso, but they tend to be more sustainable.

First week

Your body begins receiving more supportive nutrients. If you are sensitive to changes in routine, you may notice small differences in how you subjectively perceive your energy.

First month

With regular use, your daily energy curve may become more stable and afternoon slumps less intense.

Three months

If MitoGenix has become part of your daily routine, you may notice more stable functioning and greater resilience even on demanding days.

Six months and beyond

Regular long-term use contributes to supporting cellular energy, healthy metabolic signals, and a sense of vitality.

MitoGenix

Who is MitoGenix for?

MitoGenix is especially suitable for people who:

  • have long workdays and high mental demands,

  • combine work with family, sport, or other responsibilities,

  • regularly experience an afternoon slump,

  • do not want to deal with fatigue by reaching for more coffee or energy drinks,

  • are looking for a combination of supportive ingredients with good bioavailability in one product,

  • prefer clearly defined, lab-tested doses of individual ingredients over vague blends.

MitoGenix was created for both men and women. It may be especially interesting for women in menopause, who are looking for a way to better manage fatigue, energy dips, and changes in metabolic function that often accompany this period.

What does the research say?

  • Coenzyme Q10 and fatigue (2022)

In a systematic meta-analysis that included 13 randomized controlled trials and 1,126 participants, coenzyme Q10 supplementation was associated with a statistically significant reduction in fatigue scores compared with placebo.

Research in physically active people also examines the possible effect of coenzyme Q10 on oxidative stress and post-exercise recovery.

  • Berberine and metabolic parameters (2025)

A meta-analysis of 12 randomized controlled trials evaluated the effects of berberine on components of metabolic syndrome. It found significant reductions in triglyceride levels and fasting glucose as well as waist circumference, with an average difference of 3.27 cm compared with controls.

  • PQQ and mitochondria (2019, 2012)

A randomized study involving 23 men observed changes during supplementation with 20 mg of PQQ daily over six weeks of endurance training. PQQ was associated with higher levels of PGC-1α, a marker linked to mitochondrial biogenesis.

In a small open-label study, taking 20 mg of PQQ daily for 8 weeks was associated with a reduction in fatigue and improvement in certain markers of stress, mood, and sleep quality.

FAQ

  • Isn’t MitoGenix just another stimulant?

No. You will not find classic stimulants in MitoGenix . Its purpose is not to temporarily increase alertness, but to support processes related to energy metabolism and cellular energy.

  • Can I take it together with coffee?

MitoGenix does not contain caffeine, so you do not need to worry about it increasing your total daily intake. However, if you usually reach for several cups of coffee a day mainly because of an afternoon slump, you may want to observe whether, over time, you start needing fewer of them while taking it.

  • Is MitoGenix suitable even if my fatigue is more mental than physical?

Yes, B vitamins support the normal functioning of the nervous system and contribute to mental balance. The combination of coenzyme Q10 and PQQ may also help support the overall resilience of cells (and, by extension, the whole body) during periods of increased strain and stress.

  • Why does the formula contain dihydroberberine instead of regular berberine?

Dihydroberberine is a form that, in studies comparing specific doses, has shown greater bioavailability than regular berberine.

  • Why is it necessary to take MitoGenix with fat?

Mainly because coenzyme Q10 is absorbed better in the presence of fats.

  • Can I take MitoGenix long term?

Yes, MitoGenix is designed as a product for regular use.

  • How much does MitoGenix cost?

A pack of 60 capsules costs CZK 1,890, which at the recommended two capsules per day comes to approximately CZK 63 per day. With a three-month subscription, however, the daily cost drops to as low as CZK 44.

If you are not satisfied, you can also take advantage of the 90-day money-back guarantee.

Energy without another coffee

We often deal with afternoon fatigue using stimulants, even though the issue lies “one level lower”: we are not getting enough sleep, we are under high mental strain, we are trying to keep up with exercise during demanding periods, and we do not have enough time to recover. And sometimes the cause lies even deeper: our body changes with age, and hormones and cellular processes no longer work as they once did.

MitoGenix will not stop time, of course, nor free you from the rush of everyday life. But unlike the emergency helping hand of yet another espresso, it offers an entire armful of ingredients associated with support for energy metabolism, mitochondria, and nutrient processing. Alertness can be “switched on” with a single button on a coffee machine, but true life energy is generated directly inside the cells, and those require long-term care.
